I decided to start a new collection of photographs of people mirroring the natural world. The photographs will have a larger meaning under the surface to convey emotion through the natural world around us. This collection is called “Human World”. We humanize anything we can find, and this collection brings those illustrations out of my mind’s eye.
I started today with “Forest of Uncertainty”.

There is a beauty in uncertainty.
This week was a photography week. Yesterday I bought a 35 mm prime lens, which I’m having a lot of fun with. The picture from yesterday was taken with it.
I head off for Mexico City tomorrow, so I should have some fun Project 365 photos this week!
Thanks for reading!
Project 365 2012: 01.27.12 Silks--We had our first rehearsal for a circus performance. The people who can climb the silks are so amazingly strong!
Project 365 2012: 01.28.12 Huh?--My mother, Polly, makes a beautiful and hilarious clown!
Project 365 2012: 01.29.12 Circus Bliss--My sister, Elly LOVES monkeying on the German Wheel. She warmed up before our performance.
Project 365 2012: 01.30.12 Parliamentary--I am involved with Youth in Government. We use parliamentary procedure and find it fun. I find this antique book fun. Also, I LOVE YIG!
Project 365 2012: 01.31.12 Glittery--Taken in a Target store with my brand new 35mm Prime. GAA! I love this lens!
Also, the song of the week is Jack Johnson’s “If I Had Eyes“. I can’t stop listening to it. It’s one of those songs that energizes and motivates. I can’t figure out what makes it so awesome.
Paz y Amor!
We cry tears of joy, tears of sorrow, tears of anger and tears of confusion, but we fail to remember our tears of light which are the tears that aren’t physically apart of us, but are so vital to our existence.
Project 365 2012: 01.21.12 Tears of light
Our light was exquisite yesterday. I shot this using a “natural gobo”. This is my invention. I used the light coming through the window and the got the light to point on Elly’s face through the side of a window shade. Thanks for following!
This week has been crazy! As I was putting my 365 images together, I was having trouble remembering what I did everyday. Twas a very fun week.
Project 365 2012: 01.17.12 Eagle Eye
Project 365 2012: 01.18.12 Whoooo--My monkey sister, Elly performs on a German Wheel. She's so cool!
Project 365 2012: 01.19.12 Board-Meeting--I get to testify at the Dane County Board Meeting!
Have a fantastic weekend!
AH! Today was an awesome day! I sat around in the basement in the dark with my family a lot. There were also some very interesting discussions which out of context would be extremely strange. However, I am not at liberty to discuss those discussions here…;( I’ll leave that up to your imaginations.

Me with my screen printer!
Screen printing is magical. The moment I saw the screen after burning the design with light, I screamed for a couple of minutes. Seriously. I should have video taped the screaming and jumping that went on. Then, when I first put the ink down on the screen and saw how the print looked I had another screaming attack.
Screen printing is boss.
Here is what I’ve been up to this week…
Project 365 2012: 01.08.12 Hug your friends--I took this after a wonderful day of youth government with amazing people who I don't get to hug very often.
Project 365 2012: 01.09.12 Doodle--I nearly forgot my art on this crazy day. Luckily I'm always doodling.
Project 365 2012: 01.10.11 Why not?--I like to be unexpected. I decided to volunteer for a local theatre company today. I think it's the beginning of a wonderfully spontaneous experience.
Project 365 2012: 01.11.12 Earnest Poster--I finished the poster for my next production with the new company, 608 Productions. I got the posters printed and I'm very happy with them. COME TO THE SHOW!
Project 365 2012: 01.12.12 Spooky Snow--The snow finally started falling in the midwest today after a spring-like January. I really like the color of the sky and the orange from the light reflecting on the falling snow.
Sorrow: Project 365 01.03.12
I drew sorrow after watching Brokeback Mountain. I was entranced by the confused sorrow at the end of the film.
Looking away: Project 365 01.04.12
The scan of this doesn’t really capture the sparkle it has when exposed to more light. I used some very glittery powered-paint to create this piece. I played with the “do anything” idea and just kept chugging through the piece one random idea at a time. I like the way it turned out.
Happy day four!
